'Better Call Saul' Season 3 Premiere Date, Plot Spoilers: What Fans Can Expect From the Show

"Breaking Bad" was an instant classic that got the viewers' attention and fancy when it aired. Its spinoff, "Better Call Saul," has its own appeal to the masses, and now that the third season is coming in just a few days, people are anticipating its return.

As far as what one can expect from the show, co-creators Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould share the thoughts behind it. During an interview with The Atlantic, they pointed out a few concepts that are always implemented in the series.

When talking about the motivations of the characters, Gould says it's best to always think of what is going on inside their minds. Gould gave an example that compares Saul and Jimmy, and how they'd react differently to certain scenarios.

"From the beginning of the show, we were always thinking, 'How is this guy different from Saul Goodman? How can we show that,'" Gould explains. There should always be that identity that exudes from their characters.

In the discussion of the series being slow-paced, Gilligan said, "The TV universe is now exceedingly large, and there should be room for everything. I've watched a lot of TV that moves so quickly it detaches me from the story at hand. So I think a) there's room for smaller paced stories, and b) for me personally they're what I prefer just as an antidote to everything else."

If anything, this is something that Collider agrees with, and ultimately appreciates. The series is characterized as a "slow-cooker," intriguing viewers as the show goes on. That may be the secret why audiences are so invested in the story and the characters.

It can be recalled that Rhea Seehorn, who plays the role of Kim Wexler, told LAgoss.com that the upcoming season is going to be filled with a lot of excitement and drama crammed in 10 episodes, so that's something to look forward to.

"Better Call Saul" season 3 returns on April 10, 10 p.m. ET on AMC.
