Black Friday 2011: Target's Black Friday 2011 Catalogue Leaked Online?

A website listing 2011 Black Friday deals has published photos of a catalog which, it claims, shows the tempting, cut-price offers Target will put out come Nov. 25 at 4 a.m.

As Thanksgiving approaches, shoppers across the country are hoping to get some juicy deals on Black Friday, when retail giants from Macy’s to Best Buy will offer unreasonably low prices to attract shoppers in stores and online.

Target cherishes popularity among shoppers not only during holidays. This Tuesday, the amount of traffic attracted by tempting offers of clothes by Missoni, an Italian designer, crashed Target's website, forcing visitors to queue up in a virtual line.

Although the glitch undoubtedly caused some losses, this unexpected amount of traffic, which seems more than the retailer was prepared for, forecasts a very busy holiday sales season for Target, both in the actual store and online.

The special Target Black Friday sale page is now available as well, asking only for an e-mail address as deal hunters need to create an account before being able to browse the goods. No credit card information is required.

However, as of Thursday, 11 a.m. EDT, the page was also experiencing porblems, keeping potential costumers waiting.

Meanwhile, the leaked catalog shows tempting electronics grabs, like a $159 Garmin GPS set, a $59 CASIO keyboard, a $298 Westinghouse 40’’ 60Hz LCD HDTV, and a $35 electronic drum set, advertised under the banner of "lowest price of the year."

Those with a taste for sports can hope to purchase an $89 ping pong table.

One will also be able to acquire a $30 artificial Christmas tree, a $25 Sunbeam convertible hand-stand mixer and a $30 special chair for video gamers, as well as an array of affordable house appliances, including a $33 microwave.

The catalog announces the sale will start at 4 a.m. Friday, Nov. 25.

Last year, Target’s ads were reportedly the first ones to leak before Black Friday.
