'Blindspot' Episode 9 Spoilers - Jane & Kurt's Relationship Deepens, Show Gets Second Season

With two more episodes to go in the first season, "Blindspot" seems to be setting the stage for the elimination of one of its major characters and a deeper relationship between Jane Doe and Kurt Weller.

This episode may especially be the start of a relationship between Jane and Kurt that viewers have been waiting for.

The synopsis for the upcoming episode 9 of "Blindspot" states: "Jane (Jaimie Alexander) and Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) go undercover as a world-class assassin couple to prevent deadly information from getting into the wrong hands. The intimate assignment draws them closer than ever. Meanwhile, David (guest star Joe Dinicol) embarks on a solo mission to win Patterson (Ashley Johnson) back, and Carter (guest star Michael Gaston) clashes with Mayfair (Marianne Jean-Baptiste) over how to handle a dangerous individual."

The creators of "Blindspot" are using events around to construct their cases. The last episode had the killings of several New York City police officers that were first thought to be as revenge for shooting an unarmed black teenage boy. But Jane's tattoos pointed at an NFL connection that led to the case being solved. The case involved a NFL player in an intimate relationship with another player, again a headline case.

Since the season is coming to its break, some puzzles were solved for the viewers, like the mysterious Daylight project that Mayfair had been cagey about. It turns out it was "illegal data collection by the authorities."
More of Mayfair was shown and it revealed her relationship with another woman who committed suicide.

The upcoming episode has Jane and Kurt playacting as a couple. But they are not just an ordinary couple. They are supposed to be a 'world-class' assassin couple who have to prevent the wrong people from getting their hands on some explosive information.

The cases are getting murkier as government agencies and higher ups seem to be involved. This might lead to the mission getting dangerous and a major character getting killed or in a critical condition.

Meanwhile, NBC has confirmed a second season for "Blindspot" as it has stayed at the top due to favourable reviews and a prime time slot after "The Voice."

The upcoming episode of "Blindspot" will air on Nov. 16 on NBC.
