Borderlands 3 Rumors, News: Gearbox Software CEO - We Are Ready to Make Sequel

Developer Gearbox Software reveals during its final panel at the PAX South 2015 event this weekend that the studio is now ready to begin working on a new Borderlands game, most probably the much anticipated Borderlands 3.

Gearbox head Randy Pitchford said during the panel that the team is apparently ready to venture for another Borderlands title but can't do so on their own yet.

"We want to think about the future and we want to think about what the next Borderlands is and we're going to need some help," he revealed. "The fact is, we're not working on a new Borderlands game, but we want to."

"If you are in the industry and you think you can help us, we want you to help us. We want to get started on a new Borderlands game," the studio CEO went on to say. "There's literally nothing to tell, but we're ready to start."

After the conference, Pitchford took to his social media to announce to the greater public that the firm is now looking for able individuals that could help them create the next Borderlands.

"We want to hear from passionate and talented people to help us with next Borderlands game. Check our website!" his Twitter post reads. "We are recruiting for next Borderlands. This is the big one. Industry badass? E-mail me: heyrandy@gearboxsoftware.com"

Gamespot.com noted that Gearbox didn't necessarily proclaim that the would-be collaborative project is Borderlands 3. The site nonetheless speculated that since it was introduced as a "big one," it does appear to be the awaited installment of the hit action role-playing FPS video game.
