Currently, the leaders are the Toronto Raptors and the Knicks are 4.5 games behind. The Boston Celtics are in between the Knicks and the Nets while the Philadelphia 76ers are last in the group.

These two teams are scheduled to meet four times in the regular season and they have already battled once at the Madison Square Garden where the Knicks had a comfortable victory.

In their first meeting of the season, the Knicks had a spectacular first quarter as they scored 42 points in the opening frame to take a 21-point lead.

From there they maintained the same pressure as they kept the Nets at bay despite them making a small run in the final quarter.

Carmelo Anthony was excellent in the contest as he had 28 points, seven rebounds and three assists to lead the Knicks in the evening, while the Brooklyn Nets relied mostly on Brook Lopez who had 21 points and four rebounds.

Kristaps Porzingis had 19 points in the win as he shot over 50% from the field and also grabbed 10 rebounds to help the Knicks get the victory.

One key thing that New York did was limit the three point shots of Brooklyn as the Nets were held to only 27.3% from beyond the arc.
