Cheap Android Phones 2015: This Could Be ZTE's Cheapest Android Lollipop Smartphone in the US

ZTE is known for developing Android handsets that are not only of decent quality, but come at affordable prices. No wonder, the manufacturer has retained the attention of the Chinese market in spite the presence of other popular companies like Xiaomi, Huawei and Lenovo.

However, in its venture outside of its home market, it seems ZTE is still sticking to its strategy to bring affordable handsets to its customers.

According to a report by Phone Arena, a new ZTE handset could be the cheapest Android Lollipop phone that is available in the US.

The ZTE Overture 2, as mentioned in the report, only costs an incredible $50. But what would you get with such a cheap smartphone?

Don't be fooled. The Overture 2 packs some decent specs including a 4.5-inch display with 854 x 480 resolution, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB internal memory, a quad-core CPU clocked at 1.2GHz, and even a microSD card slot.

The camera department is composed of a 5MP primary camera, while there is a VGA front-facing shooter to handle selfies. In the report, the Overture 2 even has an LED flash, LTE connectivity, and a 2,100mAh battery.

The device costs just $50 off-contract, though consumers are required to activate the device through Cricket. Furthermore, buyers will need to avail of the company's monthly plans that begin for as low as $40 a month. Rebates are also offered for consumers in their first two months of payment.
