'Chicago Fire' season 4 spoilers: Where is Casey?

Last season, "Chicago Fire" ended on a relatively happy note as the firehouse finally came together and ended their turf war. Gabby (Monica Raymund) discovered that she is pregnant with Matt's (Jesse Spencer) baby, but when she went to see him in his apartment, she found out that he was missing and that Katia is dead. So, where is Matt? And where are Voight and Antonio who promised to keep Matt safe?

The upcoming season will pick up from where the show left off as Gabby calls Antonio for help. The trailer teases more drama as they look for Matt and they enlist the help of the police department. The pilot will delve into a flashback of what happened and how the woman died.

In the new season, the show will introduce a new character. Actor Steven R. McQueen will play the role of Jimmy Borelli, the new potential firefighter of Firehouse 51. He will play the love interest of both Brett (Kara Kilmer) and Chili (Dora Madison), who will form a rivalry over him. However, one of them will give in, thus forming a new romantic relationship. He will make a dramatic entrance and even earn the ire of the chief. He has to prove himself if he wants to stay. His role is recurring at the moment.

Executive producer Matt Olmstead spoke about the brand-new season. He said that Matt's disappearance was left open intentionally so that they could do anything with it. He also said that the woman found in Matt's apartment was not there for personal reasons and that there are many possible scenarios as to why she was there. He added that Matt might try to downplay his shock when Gabby finally gets a change to tell him and that Gabby is not even thinking about getting back together with Matt.

Furthermore, he added that the show will cut back and forth between the police department and the fire department since Brett has started dating Roman.

"Chicago Fire" returns on Oct. 13.
