CyanogenMod 12 Download: New Update to Fix OnePlus One Issues, Improve Touchscreen Responsiveness
The OnePlus One may be more than a year old already, but because of the shipment and release woes it encountered last year, it is only this year that the device has been enjoyed by more people outside of China.
And now, Cyanogen, which was once OnePlus's partner in the software department, will provide the OnePlus One some minor improvements, performance tweaks and other fixes.
According to a report by Phone Arena, the developer has just launched the CyanogenMod 12 download update for the OnePlus One, which contains a number of fixes. In the report, the update will improve the touchscreen sensitivity of the device, which has reportedly been an annoying problem for some users.
In addition, the update will also provide better Bluetooth performance when connecting to in-car systems, as well as fix some MMS-related problems.
Bearing the build number YNG1TAS2I3, the CyanogenMod 12 ROM download is reportedly 566MB, though recent update only "weighs" 20MB.
Earlier this year, Cyanogen and OnePlus have severed their ties, which means that the upcoming OnePlus Two would no longer run CyanogenMod out of the box.
OnePlus has even launched its own version of Android 5.0 Lollipop, which it dubbed as Oxygen OS. As for Cyanogen, it has made a deal with Indian brand Micromax, and it plans to expand its "influence" to other markets.
