Danny Is Forced To Confront A Wrong In Oct. 23 Episode 'Backstabbers' of 'Blue Bloods'
Episode 5 of Season 6 of "Blue Bloods" is going to be an exclusive "Danny" episode. The October 23 episode has Danny on the trail of a woman convict whom he had wrongly imprisoned. Not only is Danny in the thick of action as two female inmates escape, but he also has to search his conscience whether he did right the first time around.
The last episode of "Blue Bloods" did not have Danny doing much. All this will change in the upcoming episode. Two female convicts escape from prison and Danny is pushed right in the centre of things when it turns out that he has a connection to one of them.
The official synopsis for the fifth episode titled 'Backstabbers' is as follows: "Danny joins the hunt for two escaped convicts after hearing one of them is someone he helped to wrongfully imprison. Also, Gormley criticizes a plan from Trey Delgado (Esai Morales), an NYPD sergeant who Gormley thinks is having an affair with his wife."

In the promo released for this episode, as news of a prison break is flashed on television, Danny is appalled to see that one of the female convicts who has escaped is Rose Butler. He exclaims that Rose should not have been apprehended by him and put in prison.
When asked what his connection is to Rose Butler, Danny replies that when Rose had gone to prison, she had handed over the charge of her teenage son to Danny. In a scene, the son is shown saying, "I am trying to protect my mother."
Viewers will see grabs of CCTV footage showing the women, especially Rose, hold up a store. She is also seen calling up Danny and telling him that now, he too will be hunting for her.
The promo shows Danny in a dilemma as he has to face the wrong he's done and correct it.
From the synopsis, viewers are going to see a blowout between Gormley & NYPD sergeant Trey Delgado.
This is not just rivalry between FDNY & NYPD, but the root of the disagreement seems to be that Gormley is labouring under the thought that Trey Delgado and Gormley's wife are having an affair.
Episode 5 of "Blue Bloods" titled "Backstabbers" will air on CBS this Friday, Oct. 23 at 10 p.m. EDT.
