CBS' hit TV series "Elementary" Season 4 returns this weekend with a suspenseful, brand new episode that will find Sherlock Holmes and Joan Watson caught in a tight spot when they decide to beat the hornet's nest.
According to the synopsis shared over at The Futon Critic for the episode titled "In A Difference Kind," those who are after Morland Holmes' head will get back into action after their failed attempt to eradicate the Sherlock's dad. Frustrated and more hell bent than ever, the person or people behind the plan will switch their sights towards the sleuthing duo.
Beyond all the bickering and snappy remarks from the two Holmes, in the end, Sherlock still cares for his father and it is his priority to keep him safe. He and Joan were able to pin down the perpetrator who had forced Morland to flee to New York. The elderly feared for his life after witnessing his companion get killed.
Exactly how this ends for Sherlock and Joan as well as Morland, the fans will really have to find out. Although, it's quite possible that the consultants will be able to outwit, outdone, and outpaced whoever the person or organization in question.
In related report, executive producer Rob Doherty said, in an interview with TV Line, how they would love to bring back Joan's half sister, Lin, played by Samantha Quan. The showrunner teased that the newcomer might return to continue on her mission to get to know more of the detective. The two kinswomen got separated when the older one got adopted following their father's departure. Fortunately, Lin was able to trace down Joan and decided to see her in person.
"We'd love to see her again next year. We like the actress very much. We had fun seeing the sisters together. I know Lucy [Liu] had a good time. It's a matter of finding the right kind of story to pull Lin back in," Doherty said.
"Elementary" Season 4 features the acts of Jonny Lee Miller as Sherlock, Lucy Liu as Watson, John Noble as Morland, and Aidan Quinn as Captain Gregson.
The show airs Sundays, at 10 on CBS.
