HS Senior Lifts 700 Pounds: Video Goes Viral as Matt Poursoltani Targets Larry Allen NFL Record (VIDEO)

A high school senior has managed to lift 700 pounds in a state powerlifting meet in Abilene, Texas on Saturday, amazing others at the event.

Pilot Point High School senior Matt Poursoltani destroyed his own previous record of 670 pounds by knocking down the 700 mark, teetering on beating Larry Allen's NFL bench press record of 705 pounds.

Some have pointed out though that Poursoltani feat is even greater than Allen's, given the high school senior's age, and the fact that he only weighs 270 pounds himself, compared to Allen's 325 pounds at the time he set the record.

Poursoltani is being touted to be a good college football prospect, and his strength has been improving in leaps and bounds - being able to lift more than 100 pounds more than 12 months ago.

A local report into the youngster by the Dallas Morning News has described that Poursoltani eats "six sunny side up eggs" every single morning, and has also been known to devour two 16 ounce steaks at dinner time too.

Such is his strength that some have questioned whether he is on steroids. Poursoltani has simply replied, "If you need something to help you work out, you need to get out of the sport. If you can't drive yourself that hard to come in here and work out, then it's probably just not for you."
