The live image confirmed some of the specs which were speculated on since reports and photos of the Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer's next handset started making their rounds online.

Based on the live photo, the HTC One A9 Aero will sport a 5-inch 1080p resolution touchscreen display, as well as thin side bezels and a thicker bottom bezel where a fingerprint scanner is located just below the screen.

It is expected the new smartphone will carry an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor which supports the new Quick Charge 3.0 technology to bring the phone's battery up to full power after only an hour of charging. It should also have an Adreno 405 GPU, and around by 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.

According to rumors, the handset will sport a 13MP rear camera with a Sony sensor and optical image stabilization, as well as a 4MP Ultrapixel front shooter for selfies and video chats. It may also carry a 2,150mAh battery to keep all phone juiced up.

The HTC One A9 Aero was initially spotted getting benchmarked in early September, where it was revealed to have a 2K display.

When it launches in the market, it may already come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow, together with a pre-installed Sense 7, HTC's own user interface.

While there hasn't been any official announcement on when the HTC One A9 Aero is scheduled to be unveiled, rumors have placed the announcement either during an HTC special media event on to be held tomorrow, September 29, Tuesday, or another event the company has scheduled involving a multi-city marketing campaign in the US next month.
