iCloud Release: Box.net Offers 50GB of Free Memory

Box.net is offering 50GB of free storage for iCloud, according to an announcement made earlier today.

This offer is hard for Apple device users to resist since it comes with no strings attached, free of charge.

50GB of storage is 10 times the amount an iCloud account initially comes with.

When anyone signs up for a free Box Personal account on an iOS device they can access the 50GB of free online storage from Box.net which can be used for saving pictures, documents, music and videos.

The free storage promotion begins tomorrow afternoon.

The Box.net for iOS client can be downloaded for free on Apple’s website in the iTunes preview section.

iOS users can access the free memory by using the client to log in to their account or register for a new one directly on the app.

This is not the first time Box.net has offered this type of a promotion.

It made a similar move with HP offering a free account for customers purchasing TouchPads.

iCloud, Apple’s online storage system, officially debuted yesterday along with the company’s newest software iOS 5.

iPhone users will be able to access iCloud which will make storing media on multiple devices much more convenient.

iOS 5 is the fastest Apple operating system to date.

Apple initially offers iCloud service for free which comes with 5GB of storage.

Box.net specializes in cloud memory, and with this new promotion, the new operating system will become much more appealing.

Dropbox also offered 5GB of free online storage for HTC’s high-end smartphones when they were released.

iCloud will be included on all devices compatible with iOS 5 including, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPad, iPad 2 and the third and fourth generation iPod Touch models.
