Julianne Moore to Be Face of Reed Krakoff Line, Former Coach President
Former president and Creative Director for Coach, Reed Krakoff, has announced Julianne Moore as the new face of his brand.
After announcing his June 2014 resignation from Coach this April, Krakoff has gone forward with his own, self titled fashion line. Set to debut in magazines this fall, the New York based fashion designer said he would make actress Julianne Moore an ambassador of his brand.
"I have admired Julianne's extraordinary talent and unique style for many years and have been fortunate enough to get to know her on both a professional and personal level," Reed told Women's Wear Daily. "The combination of personal strength, confidence and a subtle sensuality, which is strongly reflected in the imagery."
New ads featuring Moore have already been released. In one of the photographs, taken by Krakoff, Moore appears wearing a loose fitting, V-neck tank top. The actress appears to be looking after something longingly, with strands of red hair falling in her face and over her shoulders.
Krakoff is not the first spokes model gig that Moore, 52, has committed to. In the past she has also done ads for L'Oreal, Bulgari, and Talbots. Speaking of moving with his career after more than 16 years with Coach, Krakoff said that he was looking forward to devoting himself to his own brand.
"I'm [pleased] to focus exclusively on the RK brand and to embark on the next phase of my career," Reed told WWD in April about his plans. Photos of Moore will appear for the first time in the September issue of WWD.
In the meantime, Moore is still allegedly in negotiations for joining the "Hunger Games" cast for its second film, "Mockingjay." Moore would play President Alma Coin, a notable figure. But "no deals have been struck" as of yet, according to E! News.
