'Justice League' Rumors: Movie to Feature Darkseid in a Cameo
While it's already a known fact that "Justice League" is featuring Steppenwolf (Ciaran Hinds) as its big bad, it is now speculated that the highly anticipated movie will also feature Darkseid for a cameo at least.
It is believed that "Justice League" is introducing several other DC superheroes apart from the ones confirmed to appear. Hence, other than Batman (Ben Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), The Flash (Ezra Miller), Cyborg (Ray Fisher), and Superman (Henry Cavill), whose return is inevitable despite not being included in the promos and marketing campaign for the movie, it is also suspected that the movie will introduce Green Lantern and even Supergirl.
However, it is speculated that "Justice League" will not only be introducing some unconfirmed DC superheroes into the DCEU (DC Extended Universe) but even some villains from the comic books, too. As the soundtrack for the movie includes a song titled "The Story of Steppenwolf," it is said that it is very likely for "Justice League" to introduce Darkseid, too, as, after all, Darkseid is the nephew of Steppenwolf in the comic books.
While it remains unclear whether "Justice League's" version of Steppenwolf will stick to its comic book origins, it is believed that his backstory will still involve Darkseid in one way or another. Furthermore, as it has been reported earlier that the script for the "Justice League" sequel is already being in the process of writing, it is not entirely impossible for Darkseid to appear briefly in the movie as a sort of introduction and will be fully explored as the main villain in the "Justice League" sequel.
Meanwhile, as it is also confirmed that the movie will feature a dark adaptation of the original "Superman" movie soundtrack titled "Friends and Foes," speculations on Superman returning as a more aggressive version of the character and wearing a black and silver suit in lieu of the more popular blue and red version continue to grow louder. After all, several of the movie's merchandise have also hinted that it will be the case.
Will "Justice League" really feature Steppenwolf in a cameo? Will Superman really don a black and silver suit upon his return following his death in last year's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice?"
Find out when "Justice League" hits the theaters this November 2017.
