The release date of "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue" was revealed when Square Enix released the trailer of the game during the Sony Tokyo Game Show 2016 press conference this week. Fans of the game will immediately recognize the song "Simple and Clean", although a remixed one, from the first "Kingdom Hearts" game back in 2002, Polygon noted. The song is sung by popular J-artist Utada Hikaru.

The "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue" trailer is 2:36 long and it showed off various scenes from "Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep", "Kingdom Hearts χ [chi] Back Cover" and an origin movie that will be included as well. Furthermore, it will also include an HD Remaster of the "Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance" game as well.

Square Enix's Tetsuya Nomura Explains Delay in a Tweet
Tetsuya Nomura explained why they had to delay "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue" in a tweet to the fans. According to Mobipicker, Nomura said the reason would be because they are also working on "Final Fantasy 15", which has also been delayed.

"Final Fantasy" is due to be released on Nov. 29, 2016 so it makes sense for Square Enix to space out the releases of their games. With the coming of the PlayStation 4 Pro, it was mentioned that the "Kingdom Hearts" spin-off game will be supported on the console as well.
