'Kuruneko' Air Date, Spoilers: Anime Adaptation of Cat Manga Blog to Hit Tate Anime App in October

A new "Kuruneko" series is joining this year's fall anime lineup via Production I.G.'s "Tate Anime (Vertical Anime) smartphone application. The cast list has also been announced, and unlike the first two seasons, there will be more than one voice actress who will be working on the series.

Production I.G. shared some details about the upcoming short-form Japanese anime series on their official Twitter account earlier this year. The cast of the 2017 installment will include Asami Imai as Kuru-san, Aoi Yuuki as Mon-san, Yuka Iguchi as Pocchan, Ayahi Takagaki as Bon, Ayaka Suwa as Tomecha, Yukiyo Fujii Kobon-kun, and Jun Kasama as the Narrator.

"Kuruneko" is based on the cat manga blog of the same name created by Yamato Kuruneko. It tells the story of a 30-something commercial designer who is as devoted to a bottle of sake as she is to her five adorable cats.
