Lauren Alaina Forgets National Anthem at Thanksgiving NFL Game (VIDEO)
American Idol runner-up Lauren Alaina has fumbled her words before millions of viewers as she messed up the national anthem at the Thanksgiving Day NFL game televised across the United States.
Alaina was given the honor of singing the national anthem for the nation at the Thanksgiving Day Green Bay vs. Detroit game, but after about 16 seconds into the anthem she fumbled her words.
Her start to the famous anthem went well, but suddenly she was forced to pause for a few seconds between the lyrics, “twilight's last gleaming.”

The few seconds pause came across like an eternity to the millions watching and cringing at the mistake.
Fox’s Joe Buck tried to cover up for the American Idol runner up saying: "It's all about how you finish.”
Many in the nation are now asking whether there are any singers that can get through the national anthem error-free. Just earlier this year, Christina Aguilera got her words wrong to the song at Super Bowl XLV.
