'Legend of Korra' Book 4 Latest News: Trailer Reveals 3-Year Time Jump

The final season of "Legend of Korra" is only days away, and though fans are a bit surprised that Book 4 is about to premiere so soon after the Book 3 finale, many are excited to know what became of Korra and company after what took place in the finale.

Book 4, titled "Balance" will take place three years after the season 3 finale "Enter the Void/ Venom of the Red Lotus." In the new trailer which Nick released over the weekend, the time jump was featured as well as the Earth Kingdom, and Kuvira, who will play a larger role than she did in Book 3, is seen threatening peace with a military force.

The premiere episode titled "After All These Years" will see Korra sporting a shorter hairstyle and Tenzin's children appears to have grown up. Korra also finds Toph, who has been missing ever since she left the metal clan.

IGN reports that Korra will begin a journey of self-discovery and survival in a new world where the strong prey upon the weak. It can be recalled that at the end of Book 3, she fought an intense battle to save the world which left her temporarily in a wheelchair.

According to the Avatar Wiki, Hiroshi Sato will make an appearance for the first time since his imprisonment at the end of "Book 1: Air." Varrick's childhood will be revealed, and Zuko's daughter will also make an appearance.

Moreover, a new character will be featured in "Balance." Wu, a prince of the Earth Kingdom and potential successor to Hou-Ting as the ruler of the nation, will be introduced.

"Legend of Korra" Book 4 premieres on Oct. 3 on Nick.com and the Nick App.
