Lenovo ThinkCentre X1 Specs, Release Date: Paper-Thin PC To Rival Apple's iMac
Touted by Lenovo to be "thin as a laptop, powerful as a desktop," the ThinkCentre X1, the new paper-thin all-in-one desktop computer from the Chinese tech giant, has taken some design cues from Apple's iMac but features a sturdier build that is optimized for business.
The computer features a chassis crafted from aluminium-alloy that measures just 11 mm (0.43 inches), making it super slim. Its sleek design is coupled with high-speed performance that allows users to do their work and relax while enjoying high-def video and superb audio.
The ThinkCentre X1 is powered by a 6th gen Intel Core processor with vPro, runs Windows 10 Pro OS, and features DDR4 memory. Its widescreen 23.8-inch display has a 1920x1080 resolution that prevents glare in brightly-lit surroundings.
The display can be easily tilted from -5 degrees to 45 degrees, allowing users to work or sit back and relax with the viewing angle that suits them perfectly. It is built and tested to last, and Lenovo assures users that the ThinkCentre X1 does not compromise durability for design.
The all-in-one has been tested and proven to stand 10 years of accumulated office dust and is said to survive the harshest work environments. As the company claims on its website, the ThinkCentre X1 ran error-free inside their testing chamber with over 2 kg (4.4 lbs) of dust inside it.
The all-in-one desktop computer will run quietly and stay cool with its redesigned fan blade and features microphones capable of filtering out background workplace noise. It has a 1080p webcam, integrated Dolby speakers, and Skype for Business-certified video and sound. In addition, the ThinkCentre X1 has a camera privacy cover and features voice recognition software.
According to CNET, the Lenovo ThinkCentre X1 will be available in the US in March at the starting price of $1049.
