'Minecraft: Story Mode' News: To Get World Premiere, Launches New Trailer
Mojang and Telltale Games released a new trailer for "Minecraft: Story Mode," together with an announcement the upcoming game would be getting a world premiere this month.
Nearly a year after Telltale Games first hinted they would be releasing the first narrative-driven installment for Mojang's 3D building blocks sandbox franchise, "Minecraft," the San Rafael, California-based digital publisher and the Swedish video game developer confirmed they will be holding a world premiere for "Minecraft: Story Mode" in a little more than a week.
Telltale also launched a new trailer for the first episode of the five episode game with Episode 1, titled "The Order of the Stone," scheduled to launch a day after the world premiere.

In Episode 1, players take on the character of Jesse, who, together with his friends, attends EnderCon, a fan convention honoring celebrated warriors Architect, Griefer, Redstone Engineer, and Warrior, who are known as The Order of the Stone.
Jesse and his pals have a motive, however. They are seeking the Order of the Stone to help them administer justice and restore the peace to an endangered Minecraft Universe after they discover "something dreadful" is happening, with a terror soon to unleashed. Players are tasked to join the Order of the Stone to save their 8-bit world from oblivion.
The world premiere for "Minecraft: Story Mode," which has now taken the tone of a big Hollywood production, will take place at the ArcLight Cinema Dome in Hollywood's Sunset Boulevard a day before Episode 1: "The Order of the Stone" is launched.
Fans are invited to join Telltale's "World's Largest Let's Play" where audiences can participate in the action or cheer on other players. Tickets for free limited seats have already been announced on Telltale's Minecraft world premiere website, with fans enjoined to email Telltale Games for more information and to secure first-come, first-serve seating to the event.
The "Minecraft: Story Mode" world premiere will take place on October 12, followed by the release of "Episode 1: The Order of the Stone" on October 13.
