The final episodes for Season 1 showed the drug lord escaping raids from police. But next season, it will not be that easy to escape anymore, with around 4,000 soldiers, thousands of rounds of ammunition, and helicopters right on Escobar's tail. In his narration for the trailer for Season 2, Agent Murphy said that there was no way Pablo Escobar was ever going to get out of this one.

Viewers of the Netflix show will find out what Escobar finally does to escape. He will be moving through checkpoints amazingly without being detected. Reports say that he must have paid so much just to get past security checks.

What makes the show exciting is that everyone wants a piece of Escobar. The body count rises, as each side wants to remove suspected traitors and of course, prevent other members from joining other groups.

Viewers could miss some characters early

In a nutshell, "Narcos" is about drug war. And because of this, viewers can expect some of the cast of the show to retire early in Season 2. Reports reveal that among the cast, Pedro Pascual, who plays DEA Agent Javier Pena, will become a casualty in the next series.

Wagner Moura is expected to be exiting the show, considering he plays Pablo Escobar. But of course, this will happen in the later parts of the show as the war between cartel and DEA agents escalate.

So, who gets to find Escobar?

Escobar may have stepped on a few toes as he rose to become one of the most successful drug lords in the world. Because drug cartels, groups, as well as police are all on his case, it is really intriguing who will get to Escobar first. There are no clues in the trailer, but all that is known is that factions are competing against each other.

Reports also said that more groups are out to get Escobar namely: the US Delta Force, the ISA, the Navy Seals, and the vigilante group, Los Pepes.

Release date

"Narcos" Season 2 will air on Netflix on September 2.
