Season 13 of CBS' hit police procedural drama TV series "NCIS" is now nearing its conclusion. It means that there's only a couple of episodes left before Michael Weatherly's fan-favorite character, Anthony DiNozzo, bids goodbye to the show.
However, DiNozzo's untimely exit won't just be the only exciting thing that fans are anticipating in the upcoming episodes. In this week's show, for example, a spoiler report from International Business Times said that another beloved character, Ziva David (Cote de Pablo), will be making her presence although not as expected.
The outlet said that Ziva's name will come up on "NCIS" Episode 23 titled "Dead Letter." The latest developments made fans speculate as to how this will happen since De Pablo already confirmed that she won't be returning at any point in the show.
"...And scripts not being good enough, I chose not to," the actress, who was present during the recent Q&A Session with the constituents at the Babson College, said.
"Look, I love this character. I worked eight years crafting this character and loving her and when I felt or perceived that the character was not being treated with the respect she deserved all the money in the world couldn't bring me back," the star went on to explain as the audience expressed their dismay.
It is yet to be found out how Ziva's role will affect in the overall plotline. For the meantime, The Futon Critic indicated that "Dead Letter" will get to see the NCIS team working alongside the FBI and MI6, as they continue the international manhunt for an escaped British spy. The latter was suspected of hurting one of the agency's colleagues, who will end up in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
"NCIS" Season 13 features Leroy Jethro Gibbs as Mark Harmon, Timothy McGee as Sean Murray, Eleanor Bishop as Emily Wickersham and Jimmy Palmer as Brian Dietzen.
"NCIS" Episode 23 premieres this Tuesday, May 10, at 8 p.m. on CBS.
