'NCIS' Season 13 News, Spoilers: Series to Introduce Fake DiNozzos in Upcoming Episode

Before Special Agent Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) bids long-running police procedural drama "NCIS" farewell, the CBS series will give fans a generous helping of DiNozzo in an episode that will feature not one, not two, but three versions of the fan favorite character.

In the current season's 20th episode, titled "Charade," Special Agent DiNozzo will fall victim to identity theft. The multiple suspects will then use his credentials as a special agent to blackmail several United States senators. The real DiNozzo and the rest of the NCIS crew will then have to stop the various individuals going by the name Tony DiNozzo before its too late.

Will the team be able to stop the perpetrators from permanently damaging DiNozzo's reputation? Will this crime be the reason DiNozzo leaves the Naval Criminal Investigative Service?

According to TVLine, there will be at least two fake DiNozzos in "Charade." "Tall Tony" will be played by "All My Children" alum Adam Mayfield while "Tiny Tony" is set to be portrayed by Ben Giroux, who played Little Zach in The CW's "Hart of Dixie."

"Charade," which will begin to tell DiNozzo's exit story, will air on Wednesday, April 6.

In January, Weatherly, an original "NCIS" cast member, announced that he would exit the series when season 13 concludes. According to CBS, the actor has signed a development deal with the network that will have him working on projects with CBS. Given that DiNozzo will not be killed off during the upcoming season finale, it is possible that the character could still pop up in the series, which has just been generously renewed by CBS for two more seasons.

To fill the void that will be left when Weatherly departs, "NCIS" has announced that two new characters will be introduced. One, a new female FBI special agent named Tess Monroe, has already been cast. "24" alum Sarah Clarke was recently confirmed to guest-star as Monroe in the current season, with an option to stay on as a series regular in season 14.

"NCIS" airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
