Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder Get Married in a Romantic Ceremony

Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed are officially married.

According to Daily Mail, "The Vampire Diaries" actor and the "Twilight" actress tied the knot on Sunday, April 26, in a romantic ceremony in the Santa Monica mountains.

Photos of the intimate ceremony were circulated by the pair's fans on social media. More pictures were also taken by X17online. In the pictures, Reed, 26, wears a long-sleeve, backless Claire Pettibone gown as her groom, 36, sports a dashing white suit. Earlier that morning, Somerhalder tweeted, "most beautiful morning ever."

The couple appeared to be very happy and excited during their nuptials as they were photographed kissing each other and at one point, Somerhalder carried his bride down a muddy slope so that her dress wouldn't get dirty.

Reed and Somerhalder were met by family and close friends at the outdoor ceremony.

"Nikki couldn't be more excited and thrilled to be marrying Ian," said an insider to Us Weekly. "They're both so in love and so happy."

In January, it was confirmed that the pair got engaged after just six months of dating. The couple quickly moved in together in Atlanta, Georgia, where Somerhalder films The CW supernatural drama. They have also adopted several pets together, including horses Eagle and Millie, dogs Nietzsche and Enzo, and a kitten named Sohalia.

Even Somerhalder's TVD co-stars have expressed their admiration for the couple as "Vampire Diaries" star Kat Graham recently said, "I haven't met two people that were more of soul mates than those guys. They are so absolutely amazing. Everyone loves them, and I really can't imagine him with anyone else."

This is the first walk down the aisle for Somerhalder and the second for Reed. The actress split from "American Idol" season 10 alum Paul McDonald in March 2014 after two years of marriage.
