'Overwatch's' Tracer is in 'Heroes of the Storm'

"Overwatch" crosses over to Blizzard's multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) "Heroes of the Storm." Fans of Tracer, that "Overwatch" character with time manipulating skills, will be able to play with the character later this month.

Blizzard announced the crossover of sorts through a blog post at its official site. Tracer is the first "Overwatch" character to join "Heroes of the Storm." She'll come with her chronal accelerator and two pulse pistols. Here's how the company officially describes her:

"Equipped with the chronal accelerator designed by her gorilla scientist pal Winston and a pair of deadly pulse pistols to match, this highly mobile ranged Assassin zips around the Battlegrounds of the Nexus, catching enemy heroes off guard and then vanishing before they have a chance to react."

In addition to her weapons, Tracer will still have her abilities, specifically her time jumping skills, when gamers play with her in the Nexus. Kotaku reports she will have the skill to rewind to a position she was three seconds earlier. The publication adds she will also have a melee attack and a blinking ability with three charges and a cooldown.

She can attack while moving, which is a first for "Heroes of the Storm." This ability could make her a powerful and popular character, according to Kotaku.

Tracer will have a single Heroic ability which she can customize by upgrades in three different ways. She unlocks this ability at level 1.

Players will also be able to choose from a number of alternate colors and skins for Tracer and take advantage of her mount. Those interested can watch the video below to see these customizations.

Those who pre-ordered the digital copy of "Overwatch: Origins Edition" for Windows PC will have a head start on playing Tracer on April 19. The rest of the players will get to play with Tracer a week after when she becomes available for purchase on April 26.
