Pacquiao vs. Bradley 3: Bradley Says Atlas Developed 'New Strategy' for Fight, Doesn't Care If Pacquiao Is Retiring or Not

With veteran trainer Teddy Atlas in his corner, former WBO welterweight champion Timothy Bradley is confident about his chances coming into this rubber match against Manny Pacquiao on April 9th.

"Desert Storm" will be meeting "Pacman" on the third time at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, the same venue where their first two fights in June 2012 and April 2014, respectively, were held.

Atlas and Bradley began working together in October, after the latter announced that he was parting ways with the former training Joel Diaz. The new duo proved to be a success when Bradley was able to stop former world champion Brandon Rios within nine rounds of their November fight.

And as he faces Pacquiao once again, Bradley says something different has been set in place, this time around.

"The most important thing about this fight that wasn't there before is my new trainer Teddy's presence. Him and I have developed a new strategy and have changed my preparations," Bradley said in a Boxingscene report.

While Bradley did not delve further into their game plan, he noted that the biggest change for this third fight would be the "wisdom" he gained from the last two.

Pacquiao's decision to retire after a 20-year career mainly stems from his desire to become a full-time public servant in his home country of the Philippines. He is running for a Senatorial seat at the May 9th Philippine Elections, and is the current Congressman of the Sarangani Province in the southern region of the country.

However, a few key personalities, including Top Rank Promotions chief Bob Arum and trainer Freddie Roach, are not convinced that the Filipino boxing icon would be hanging up his gloves for good.

Bradley, on the other hand, chooses to be indifferent.

"To be honest with you, I don't know. And honestly, I don't really care," he said. "If it is (his last fight), so be it. If it isn't, then hey, that's more power to him. He can do what he wants to do."
