Princeton Tigers vs Notre Dame Fighting Irish Live Stream Free (CBS): Watch NCAA March Madness 2017 Basketball Online

Princeton Tigers and Notre Dame Fighting Irish will clash on Thursday as March Madness 2017's First Round kicks off. This will be the opening game of the NCAA Men's basketball tournament proper following the First Four Round earlier this week, and will spark dozens of games to take place throughout the coming days.

The Tigers and the Fighting Irish will meet at First Niagara Center in Buffalo, New York with a start time of 12.15 p.m. ET. The game can be watched on TV on the CBS network, or online through free live stream (details below).

Notre Dame should be in confident mood; they are the only team to reach the Elite Eight of the last two March Madness tournaments, and they will not be fazed the challenge ahead of them.

Senior guard Steve Vasturia has said, "We have a great opportunity ahead of us to make a deep run in this tournament. It culminates in April, and we haven't been able to get there. That's a goal," according to the Chicago Tribune.

Notre Dame come into this year's NCAA tournament with a 25-9 record, which has earned them a 5th seed spot in the West Region. Princeton meanwhile registered a regular season record of 23-6, and have been given the No. 12 seed place for March Madness.

Duke coach Mike Brey has tried to emphasize the team's past success in the tournament, hoping it will give his side a psychological advantage as they begin their NCAA tournament journey this season.

"When that bracket shows up on Sunday night, we're the only that that has played in back-to-back Elite Eights. That's a great advantage of ours, and it's a psychological advantage for this nucleus," he said.

However, their opposition today, Princeton, have not lost a game since December, and they will be desperate to keep that winning stream going for just a few weeks more.

The Tigers recorded a perfect 16-0 in the Ivy League and are on a 19 game win streak. They have shown their character when their backs were against the wall against Pennsylvania. In that game they were down by 10 points in the second half, but came back strongly to win in overtime, and they went on to defeat Yale in the title game.

Notre Dame oppositely come into today's game on the back of their weekend loss to Duke. They will know they don't get any more chances from here on out, and if they don't get right back on track today their March Madness adventure could be over almost before it's really got started.
