'Quantico' Season 2 Episode 2 Spoilers, News and Updates: Episode 1 'Kudove' Recap; FLOTUS in Grave Danger?
ABC's thriller "Quantico" is back for Season 2. Already our favorite FBI-turned-CIA agent Alex Parrish (played by Priyanka Chopra) is waist-deep in yet another terrorist plot. With the President of the United States in grave danger, will Alex be able to save the world again?
Recap of 'Quantico' 2.01: 'Kudove'
"Quantico" Season 2 premiere, titled "Kudove," revealed Alex Parrish training at "The Farm," the CIA's most covert training facility. Ryan Booth (Jake McLaughlin) and Alex are both tasked by Miranda Shaw (Aunjanue Ellis) and Matthew Keyes (Henry Czerny) to infiltrate the CIA to stop a group of rogue agents. To do so, they must train alongside fellow recruits Pearl Thusi, Harry Doyle, and Jeremy Miller. Alex befriends one recruit in particular: Lydia Bates (Tracy Ifeachor), whom she saves during a skydiving exercise.
But Lydia turns out to be a CIA agent under Owen Hall (Blair Underwood), and Alex learns a cruel lesson: at the CIA, the mission goes first, and they must do whatever they must in order to succeed. Yes, even when it meant lying and cheating to get there. As a result, Alex ends up on the bottom of the murder board, while Ryan is at the top of the class.
Future timeline
Ways down the future, Alex is a bored CIA analyst, while her boyfriend Ryan Booth (Jake McLaughlin) is now part of the POTUS' briefing team. They're both preparing for a presidential summit, which will be attended by a group of high-profile people. She talks to Raina Amin (Yasmeen Al Massri) about returning the engagement ring to Jake. There go the Ralex ship. But after they meet, Alex sees someone she thought to be dead.
Meanwhile, at the presidential summit, a group of masked people calling themselves the Citizens' Liberation Front gasses everyone, including the POTUS and FLOTUS. Alex manages to pin down one of the attackers and realizes it's Jeremy Miller, who's part of her CIA program. He taunts Alex, saying she's "wrong" about so many things, before he jumps to his death.
In order to defuse the situation, POTUS decides to go along with the criminals' demands. But then the operatives suddenly reveal their second mission: to behead the FLOTUS. Then the episode falls to black.
'Quantico' 2.02 and 2.03 Titles and Synopses
We'll find out what happens during the next episodes of 'Quantico' Season 3. Episode 2 is titled "Lipstick," and teased the collaboration of Ryan and Raina to infiltrate the terrorists. Episode 3, on the other hand, is titled "Stescalade," and will see Alex infiltrating the terrorist group, only to find a "familiar" face.
Does the FLOTUS survive "Quantico" 2.01? The next episode will air Sunday, October 2 on ABC.
