'Ray Donovan' Season 4 News, Update: Showtime Announces June Premiere Date

Fans of Showtime's hit drama TV series, "Ray Donovan," have long been keeping tabs on any updates regarding the release of the show's highly anticipated Season 4. Now it has been confirmed that the premiere of its 12-episode run will air this June 26, at 9 p.m. on-air, on demand and over the internet.

The network also unveiled the poster art and the first look of the new installment through their official Facebook page. The promo pic shows Liev Schreiber, the three-time Golden Globe and Emmy nominated actor for playing the titular role, dressed down and looking up as if in supplication.

"Save yourself," a phrase can be read which crosses with the show's title.

Meanwhile, the clip, which can be seen below, features a deeply-troubled Donovan trying to repent on his sins and working for redemption. What is interesting is that, despite him acknowledging his shortcomings and evil deeds, the scenes still show him committing the same messy, and most often, deadly affairs as before.

The hints from the video are quite clear that his actions will ultimately result to his alienation from his family. For one, there's Ray's daughter, Bridget (Kerris Dorsey), living away from home. He tried to win her back but it seems like she's quite disappointed with what her father promised that he's already a changed man.

As if that won't be enough to trouble Ray, it can also be seen in the promo that Abby (Paula Malcolmson) will be battling some major illness as suggested in the MRI scan scene.

Meanwhile, the teaser did not reveal the faces of the new characters and guest stars that are bound to appear this Season 4. Regardless of which, earlier reports listed the names like Richard Brake, who will play the part of Vlad; Dominique Columbus as Damon; and "The Cosby Show" star Lisa Bonet as Marison, just to name a few.

Stay tuned for more updates.
