Real Housewives of Atlanta: Sheree Whitfield Accused of Defrauding Former NFL Great

“Real Housewives Of Atlanta” star Sheree Whitfield has been accused of defrauding her ex-husband and former NFL great, Bob Whitfield, which could be the reason he hasn’t paid child support in four years.

On a recent episode of RHOA, Whitfield revealed that her ex-husband had not paid child support for their two children in four years, and confronted him on camera.

She asked the former offensive tackle, “When are you going to start contributing to child support?...It’s going on four years in September that you have not paid child support.”

A defiant Bob responded, saying, “Listen, you’ve been an able bodied female for those last four years."

“I feel like my kids maintain two households. They have the household with you which you provide all the things for and then a household with me that I provide all the things for,” Bob added.

Many fans were left angered at Bob's reluctance to pay child support, but critics questioned why Whitfield had never escalated the matter in court.

During the same episode, Whitfield hired her RHOA co-star and attorney, Phaedra Parks.

Parks insisted that they enforce a child support order which would likely land Bob behind bars, but Whitfield again was reluctant, leaving the attorney confused.

New evidence suggests that after the couple divorced in 2007, Whitfield was dissatisfied with what the courts awarded her, and tried to defraud Bob for more money. Whitfield is said to have been awarded over $400,000 in cash and half of all proceeds from the sale of their mansion, according to a copy of the 2009 Order Denying Relief on Contempt Petition.

Whitfield's alleged lack of cooperation resulted in their mansion being foreclosed, ultimately jeopardizing its equity.

The document shows that the courts ultimately found in favor of Bob, which explains Whitfield's reluctance to pursue child support.

In the latest episode of RHOA, Bob beat Whitfield to the punch, serving her with legal documents requesting a modification to child support.

Bob argues that because he is retired from NFL, he is not making as much money as he was when he was married, and therefore should be paying much less than his ex-wife is demanding.

Whitfield recently took to her blog on BravoTV.com to respond to critics.

"I decided to seek a divorce because I refuse to be in an unhealthy relationship. I believe in myself, my kids, and our happiness, and we deserved much better," she said.

The child support matter is still pending in court.
