'Real Housewives of Orange County' Season 12 News: Kelly Dodd Opens Up About Her Unhappy Marriage

This season, Kelly Dodd shared how her parents' marriage helped her realize what to do with her unhappy situation with husband Michael Dodd.

Kelly opened up about her parents' bad marriage during the time she was contemplating what to do with hers. It made her realize how her unhappy union with Michael is affecting their daughter Jolie.

"Growing up I watched my parents fight so much that I wished they would get divorced," said the reality star, looking back on her childhood, PEOPLE confirmed.

"Michael and I, we fight a lot in front of Jolie. I thought keeping the marriage together for Jolie would be right for her because I didn't want to see her flip back and forth," revealed Kelly.

She also added that it might not be a bad idea for Jolie to have happy parents though separated, just as she wished she had when she was a child. Kelly then reveals that even though her parents have long been divorced, they still have hostile feelings towards each other.

"It's hard to have them both in the same room, and I'm afraid that Jolie's going to feel the same way about Michael and I," Kelly confessed. The reality star also admitted that she sees a lot of similarities between her marriage with her parents' and she doesn't want to end up doing the same mistakes.

The Daily Mail confirmed last September that Kelly is divorcing Michael after a marriage of 11 years.

Meanwhile, Tamra feels blessed now that she's confirmed that she is cancer-free.

The "Real Housewives" star shared on Instagram that she had surgery and found out that she's "Melanoma-free." In her post, she also urged her followers to get checked and make sure they save themselves from any harm before it gets worse.

"Real Housewives of Orange County" airs every Monday night at 9 p.m. EDT on Bravo.
