Robert Pattinson and FKA Twigs Engaged After 6 Months of Dating

It wasn't an April Fools' Day joke after all — Robert Pattinson and his girlfriend of six months, FKA Twigs, are engaged, according to People magazine.

In an interview with Vulture, T-Pain spilled the beans about Pattinson and his girlfriend accidentally when asked if the singer would appear on his new album.

"Well, the first time we even met each other, we met in the studio. Her music's changed a lot since then. But since she's on tour so much, and anytime I call her, she's in a different place. And she's engaged now so that's about to be a whole other thing," the music artist said.

When pressed to clarify, the T-Pain, "Yeah, to ol' Patty [Robert Pattinson]. I don't know if she wanted anyone to know that."

After the interview was published, T-Pain took to Twitter to post a picture of two interlocking rings captioned, "Added a little #AprilFools to my interview with @vulture today!"

Many fans were furious with T-Pain's idea of a joke, as some claimed that he was using the pair for publicity for his music. One fan of FKA Twigs tweeted that because of him, "Twigs will be attacked by fans," referring to loyal fans of Pattinson and his ex-girlfriend, Kristen Stewart, who are still hoping for the two to get back together after their split in 2013.

Despite claiming that it was all a joke, sources from People magazine insists that the pair is in fact engaged and are planning to wed.

Pattinson is said to have presented the singer with a promise ring as a token of his love back in December in order to show his commitment to her.

Reps for Pattinson and FKA Twigs have yet to confirm their engagement.
