'Scandal' Season 5 Episode 6 Spoilers – Olivia & Fitz To Marry?
The sixth episode of Season 2 of "Scandal" has Olivia trying to come to terms with Cyrus' outrageous plan to get her married to Fitz.
Will it be wedding season for Olivia and Fitz? Will Olivia, who has remained Fitz's mistress all these years and borne the brunt of a deriding public and media, finally become a wife?
The official synopsis of the episode titled "Get Out of Jail, Free" reads: "Fitz and Olivia are presented with a shocking plan that might just make all of their troubles go away, and Mellie is put through the ringer when confronted about her troubled marriage. Meanwhile, the Gladiators continue to defend Olivia, and Susan Ross turns to David for advice."

In the previous episode, Olivia had just started working on repairing the damage to her image in the political circle. At his end, Fitz, while trying to keep everything discreet, made the mistake of coming to meet Olivia at night in full media glare.
Now that Cyrus is back in the White House as Chief of Staff, he drums up an outrageous plan to make everybody's troubles vanish by arranging for a quick Olivia-Fitz wedding.
The promo for the episode has Olivia and Fitz being presented with a plan for a "quickie wedding" that shocks them. "You two are getting married," Cyrus tells Olivia and Fitz.
Olivia blurts out that this might not be the solution and says, the "shot gun wedding on the heels of a quickie divorce" is not best course of action to be undertaken.
There is more drama in this episode as a scene shows Olivia's father getting strangled. Will he escape and make a comeback, foiling all of Olivia and Fitz's plans? Mellie will be questioned about her "troubled marriage" while Vice President Susan Ross will turn to Attorney General David Rosen for help.
The previous episode had foreshadowed the West Angola crisis becoming bigger and bigger. Fitz is sure the events will lead to a war against West Angola. He will have to deal with this situation and also look at matters with Olivia. Will Fitz be willing to fight and give up everything for her?
