'Star Wars: Battlefront 2' Beta News: New Details Leaked in Reddit
Since it was first announced earlier this year, "Star Wars: Battlefront 2" has garnered the positive attention of the gaming community. The multiplayer beta is just a few weeks away, and it is set to showcase a Galactic Assault mode that represents the "Star Wars" universe perfectly.
Recent reports have revealed that some information on the upcoming beta has been leaked, and if it is anything to go by, then the hype for the multiplayer mode seems to be well-deserved.
VG247 reports that the leak was made in the Reddit post by user Some_Info, who has been known to be very reliable when it comes to leaks about "Star Wars: Battlefront 2." He accurately leaked that the first showing of "Star Wars: Battlefront 2" will be done during this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3).
According to the Reddit post, there will be several things to expect for the "Star Wars: Battlefront 2" multiplayer beta, including what is already known about the Galactic Map, which allows up to 40 players, and the Starfighter Assault, which is for 24 players on Fondor. However, the Redditor also mentions that there will be a Skirmish mode, which will feature solo play, split-screen, and cooperative between two players.
Furthermore, the characters that will be playable in "Star Wars: Battlefront 2" will be the same as those shown during E3. The roster includes Han Solo, Darth Maul, and Boba Fett. The leaks also made mention of the Low Altitude Assault Transport (LAAT) vehicle, which was not previously mentioned in the teaser show during E3. Lastly, the visuals, gameplay, and effects seems to have had some fine-tuning in the months leading up to the beta as players can expect some improvements.
Gamers who have pre-ordered "Star Wars: Battlefront 2" will get to experience the beta on Oct. 4. Meanwhile, everyone else will have to wait until Oct. 6 to be given access. The multiplayer beta is scheduled to run until Oct. 9, where as the full release of "Star Wars: Battlefront 2" is scheduled for Nov. 17 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
