'The Big Bang Theory' Season 8 Spoilers, Plot Rumors: What To Expect in 'The Space Probe Disintegration'

Things are getting more exciting in the hit sitcom "The Big Bang Theory" as the show is ready to kick off its midseason premiere this week with its new episode "The Space Probe Disintegration."

Spoiler reports indicated that in the 12th episode, Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons) and Leonard (Johnny Galecki) will have a serious conversation.

According to IBTimes, this heart-to-heart talk would tackle, once again, the issue about Leonard and Penny moving in together. When this topic came up in the previous season, Sheldon pull off a disappearing act by getting on a train and hid away for like two months.

This time, however, it seems like Leonard will finally get to live with Penny.

An official synopsis for the upcoming segment was posted in the Futon Critic and it reads:

"When the guys finally agree to do something the girls like, it leads to a confrontation between Leonard and Sheldon. Wolowitz (Simon Helberg) tries to distract Raj (Kunal Nayyar), who is anxiously awaiting data from a space probe he helped launch. Meanwhile, Sheldon and Leonard go dress shopping with Penny (Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting) and Amy (Mayim Bialik)."

Shedding more light into the issue, executive producer Steve Molaro spoke with TV Line to say that the forthcoming episode will deal with the living arrangements of the geniuses, particularly that of Sheldon.

The executive producer also mentioned that fans need to wait for a while for the Leonard-Penny nuptial because apparently, the writers "aren't in a rush for a Leonard and Penny wedding."

For Sheldon and Amy, the BBT crew still has no immediate plans for their relationship and is more likely to play it by ear.

"The Big Bang Theory" Season 8 Episode 12 airs this Thursday, Jan. 8, at 8 p.m. on CBS.
