'The Blacklist' Season 5 Episode 6 Spoilers: Cooper Goes Rogue, Teams Up with Red
Cooper's (Harry Lennix) mettle will be tested in the upcoming episode of "The Blacklist."
In the episode titled "The Travel Agency," the promo shows Cooper at his wit's end after learning that his friend has been abducted. The rest of the scenes see the FBI agent trying to locate the said person and failing.
The voiceover then hints that Cooper may go rogue and bypass the law to get some much-needed answers. The synopsis already reveals that he will ask Red's (James Spader) help in a matter of "personal importance." Previously, he refused to work with the man and cut ties with his organization.
The clip suggests that Red is more than willing to assist Cooper. This is his chance to prove to the agent that the FBI has made a mistake in ending their contract. With Cooper desperate to find his friend alive, Red knows he can make him do anything he wants.
Elsewhere in the episode, Ressler (Diego Klattenhoff) will take the lead in a dangerous operation to stop the resurrection of a murder-for-hire ring that disbanded years ago. As for Tom (Ryan Eggold), he will be so invested in finding more information about the suitcase that he will fail to see the warning signs.
Previously, Red discovered a phone and contact number in Nik's (Piter Marek) possession. Before the man was murdered, he was sure that he was the one who stole the valise in the Farm.
When Red called the number, he heard Tom's voice. He and Dembe (Hisham Tawfiq) now know that Liz's (Megan Boone) husband has something to do with the sudden disappearance of the mystery suitcase. A promo photo shows Dembe shadowing Tom's every move. The latter had to be very careful because one wrong move would have destroyed the cover he worked so hard to build.
"The Blacklist" season 5 airs Wednesdays, at 8 p.m. EDT on NBC.
