'The Flash' Season 2 News, Cast, Spoilers: Killer Frost Is Now Entering the Scene

It seems that "The Flash" season 2 will be getting a "cool" kid in the upcoming episodes, as rumors of Danielle Panabaker playing Killer Frost may finally be coming to life. When season 1 ended, many already suspected that the scientist Caitlyn Snow, played by Panabaker, will take on the villain's role later on. The actress also dropped some hints before but never confirmed if she is going to take the part.

However, Den of Geek has now released a look on how Panabaker would be personifying the chilly evildoer. The picture shows her in an action pose, sporting long, white blonde hair, dark lips, wearing a dark blueish gray corset top with dark metallic trimmings. She shared during an interview with The Talk that the costume had already been in development long before she even took the promotional shot. She also talked about the process, saying, "Our first suit was a one piece, kind of like Catwoman's. But it didn't feel quite right, so then we changed it to be like a top and these really cool leather pants." As for her hair, a short pixie wig was also considered before they settled for the current long platinum one.

Panabaker is obviously excited for her new role as she had previously mentioned that she felt jealous of the boys doing all the actions. She is quoted saying in an interview, "All the boys go out there and duke it out. I want to suit up with those boys!"

Aside from Panabaker's new character, she also teased a return of a familiar face — Grodd. Fans of the show have witnessed how Caitlyn and Grodd made a connection the last time they appeared together. Apparently, it isn't the last time this vibe will be witnessed. Panabaker continues on to spill, "I think in season one you got to see just a tiny bit of her relationship with Grodd," she said. "You'll get to see a little bit more of that and understand their connection from before [in season 2]. He's got some unfinished business with her, I'd say."

Season 2 of "The Flash" airs on Tuesdays on The CW.
