Jesus Christ: Peace incarnate and the bringer of peace

It might be hard to understand how Jesus Christ, the incarnation of God, can simultaneously be peace and bring peace.

Concern yourself with the mission of Christ above all. When necessary, engage in lower-tier conversation — but always bear in mind the end goal: showing the love of Christ and his saving power. If anything, know nothing but Christ, and him crucified. That he is enough.

Do not get so lost in the overstimulating amount of opinions and information that you forget what (or better, who) is at stake in the abortion discussion. These actions are most fundamentally propelled by what Bonhoeffer, among others before and after him, understood. That the rights at stake for the unborn are distinctly, living, human rights.

This posture, I believe, has a massive impact on the way that Christians should navigate government confrontation. Not only did Jesus embody a posture of humility and silence in the face of his accusers, but his disciples also acted in a similar manner throughout the book of Acts.

My plea to you is simple, but I truly believe it is essential. You must give your thumbs a rest.
