— Erdogan vows to protect Christians in Syria, says their churches will be rebuilt
Turkey’s President Erdogan was at the White House Wednesday where he said Turkey will restore churches in Syria that have been damaged and protect Christian communities despite reports that attacks against Christians have increased following the Turkish incursion.
Erdogan met with President Donald Trump and a group of Republican senators on Thursday in a widely publicized meeting following congressional criticism of Turkey’s military operation in Northeastern Syria.

Only a quarter of evangelicals in the United States believe abortion should be illegal in all cases, according to a new poll showing that a majority of self-identified Christians identify as “pro-choice” and less than half of evangelicals identify as “pro-life.”
The pro-life organization Save the Storks released a new survey this week in which 1,000 adults ages 18 to 69 were asked questions to gauge their opinions and attitudes on abortion.

Pop singer Ellie Goulding has confirmed that she will perform at the Dallas Cowboys Thanksgiving Day halftime show after she threatened to pull out unless the Salvation Army made a pledge to the LGBT community.
The British singer’s fans had wrongly claimed that the Salvation Army discriminates against LGBT people which led to her threat earlier this week.

Former Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles who has said he hopes to one day become a pastor after he hangs up his cleats, is anticipated to make his return to game action this Sunday for the first time since he broke his collarbone in the first week of season.
In an interview with the press on Wednesday, Foles was asked if his faith was tested at all because of the unfortunate injury.
“I don’t believe in the prosperity gospel,” Foles replied. “I believe that if you read the word of God and you understand it, there [are] trials along the way. But they equip your heart to be who you are.”

Pastor John MacArthur is warning churches not to place women in positions of church leadership after publicly rebuking Southern Baptist author Beth Moore. The pastor said that “empowering women makes weak men" and "weak men make everybody vulnerable to danger.”
During his sermon at Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, California, on Sunday, MacArthur said Scripture exhibits “no lack of clarity” regarding the role of women within the church, including 1st Corinthians 14:35, which says it’s “improper for women to speak in church meetings.”
