Democrat Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper has shown a reported interest in running, with a source telling CBS News that he is already putting together a campaign team. Hickenlooper has also set up a political action committee.

Hickenlooper’s term as governor ends on Jan. 8, and it is not expected that he will confirm his plans to run for president before that date.

“We're beyond mulling,” explained Hickenlooper in an interview published by CBS on Dec. 6. “I think we're engaging people I've known and trusted and understand some of the subtleties around running for the highest office.”
