During the interview with PragerU CEO Marissa Streit from his hospital room, the 77-year-old conservative radio talk show host provided an update about his condition, stating that he still believes in transparency.

“So, I remain paralyzed. But the biggest work, in fact, virtually all the work that has been done has been to enable me to breathe better because the nerve to my … or nerves to my diaphragm, have been severely injured,” Dennis Prager stated.

“In fact, a number of doctors, independently of one another, have described the fact that I am talking as, quote, ‘a miracle.’ And these are not religious people,” he added.

The PragerU founder said that he is “cognizant” of how fortunate he is to be able to speak, saying that he does not have any brain damage as a result of his injury.

In March, Prager’s son, David, and Streit played a voice recording during a health update video. At the time of the video, Dennis Prager was 15 weeks post-injury.

During another health update video in February, Streit said that Prager had hit his head when he fell, but he did not suffer any brain damage. The PragerU founder did injure his spinal cord, however.

“It was not severed, but it was injured, and was injured at the top of his spinal cord, at the area of C3 and C4 that also controls his diaphragm,” Streit said about the injury.
