As Christians, seeking and maintaining peace plays an important role in our overall happiness. Here are five Bible verses to remind you of the importance of peace in your life.

All are taken from the New International Version Bible.

1) Matthew 5:9

"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God."

2) John 14:27

"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."

3) Proverbs 16:7

"When the Lord takes pleasure in anyone's way, he causes their enemies to make peace with them."

4) Romans 15:13

"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."

5) Colossians 3:15

"Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful."
