Newland, the campus pastor of Riverside Community Church in Oakmont, Pennsylvania, praised Gauff for giving glory to God after her victory. 

“Even though Sportscenter struggled to understand what’s really happening here – PRAYER - so good to see @CocoGauff give glory to God first. Such a great example!!!” Newland noted on X.
