5. The Center for Baptist Leadership

The Center for Baptist Leadership, which seeks to revitalize the Southern Baptist Convention “for the sake of its enduring gospel mission and the purity of its witness to a lost and dying world that needs Jesus Christ,” marked Baucham’s passing with a video clip from his life posted on X. They billed it as the “entire gospel in two minutes."

“Until one day, when it’s all said and done, we’re not just saved from the penalty of sin. We’re not just saved from the power of sin. But one day, we’re glorified and saved from the very presence of sin. That’s the gospel that we preach! That’s the gospel that we need! And that’s the gospel that’s more than enough!” Baucham declared in the clip.

“Today was that day for Voddie,” the organization explained. “When he preached this, he saw by faith. Now, Voddie sees by sight — glorified with Christ forever and eternally free from the penalty, power, and presence of sin.”
