5 Things to Do When Stuck in Traffic

Getting stuck in a gridlock for hours can be a nightmare. You are left with nothing to do but while the time away in boredom and frustration. It is an inconvenience Americans living in congested cities have to deal with. Since traffic jams are a part of the big city life, might as well make the most out of it. Here are five things to do in a traffic crawl.

Take a nap

If you're the type of person that can easily doze off while sitting down, you can use the time to recharge by catching a few winks. It would even be better if you can sleep through the rest of the trip so you will be energized and refreshed when you get to your destination. Not recommended for the driver, though.

Study or do some paperwork

If you happen to bring your homework or paperwork, the best place to begin going through them is in your car. Take advantage of the situation while your car isn't in motion which would allow you to scribble notes. You'll be surprised by how much you've accomplished at the end of your trip.

Read a book

Instead of letting your imagination roam around, focus on a subject by reading a book or other materials like newspapers and magazines. Feed and entertain your mind with information and stories of adventure, drama or romance. Your knowledge would have increased by the time you step out of the vehicle.

Read the Bible

Better yet, read God's Word where you can learn more about God's plan for your life. While others complain about the situation, let the Bible inspire you and improve your relationship with the Lord. Thanks to modern technology, Bible apps allow us to read from our phone or tablet.

Pray

It's always better to light a candle than curse the darkness. So, instead of grumbling about the traffic situation, it would be best to talk to God. Pray for our leaders to come up with traffic solutions just like the Germans did in Berlin. Pray also that you and the others get to your respective destination safely.
