6 faith-based, family-friendly movies coming to theaters this fall

6. For older viewers: 'Angel and the Badman' — Oct. 9
Zachary Levi, Neal McDonough and Tommy Lee Jones headline “Angel and the Badman,” a new Western from Angel Studios centered on redemption, mercy and the choice between vengeance and a different way of life, though it is suitable for older viewers due to violence, suggestive material and some language.
Directed by Julio Quintana, the film follows feared outlaw Quirt Evans (Levi), who arrives at a ranch with a bullet in his back and little expectation that he will survive. Instead, Penny (Meg Fraser), the rancher’s daughter, shows him mercy and offers him a glimpse of a life beyond violence. But with a marshal closing in and an outlaw gang threatening the ranch, Quirt is forced to decide whether he will return to his old ways or become a different kind of man.
The cast in the PG-13 film also includes Jean Louisa Kelly and Barrett Ellis Luca.
