Ramaswamy tells Haley, 'having two X-chromosomes does not immunize you from criticism'

When asked if he was calling into question Haley's Christian convictions by referring to her by her given name of "Nimarata" as opposed to her nickname of "Nikki," Ramaswamy indicated that he did not question her faith but does "question her authenticity."

He slammed "identity politics" as a "cancer in American life" and a "new religion that says your race, your gender and your sexuality are your identity."

"It is anti-American. … It's anti-meritocratic, and it is dividing this country to a breaking point," he continued.

While acknowledging the prevalence of identity politics on the political left, he commented that "it's even worse when Republicans try to play the same game."

Ramaswamy compared Haley's campaign launch video to "a woke Dylan Mulvaney Bud Light ad," referring to the trans-identified influencer. He repeatedly brought up how Haley has discussed her gender on the campaign trail by saying she would "kick in heels" in the launch video and asserting that "only a woman can get this job done" during the first presidential primary debate.

Ramaswamy noted that Haley told him he had a "woman problem" when he criticized her and Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel at the previous debate.

"Nikki, I don't have a woman problem; you have a corruption problem," he claimed.

"Using identity politics more effectively than Kamala Harris is a form of intellectual fraud," he added. "I reject the use of identity politics in this party. It has been a cancer coming from the left, and I'm sick and tired of the double standards. The people of this country are too. Having two X-chromosomes does not immunize you from criticism."
