7 movies families can watch together this Christmas break

7. 'Zootopia 2' — in theaters
While not faith-based, Disney’s animated favorite remains a family-friendly option about courage, friendship, sacrifice and standing up for what’s right. And the 2025 sequel to this 2016 original is heavily marketed as a year-end family hit released for the holiday season.
The film reunites rabbit police officer Judy Hopps (Ginnifer Goodwin) and fox detective Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman) as they face skepticism from fellow officers who doubt their partnership.
Hoping to prove themselves, Judy pursues evidence showing that snakes are not inherently dangerous animals — a belief that challenges long-standing prejudice in Zootopia. When a powerful and corrupt family attempts to bury the truth, Judy and Nick must work together to uncover the facts and protect justice.
The action-packed adventure blends humor and heart with a strong moral worldview that emphasizes unity across differences and seeks truth, even when it's difficult.
“Zootopia” is a values-driven adventure well-suited for younger viewers during the holiday break.
