A Loving Father Diagnosed With ALS Walks His Daughter Down the Aisle, Despite All Odds

Credit :

When she was just 15-years-old, Lindsay Nieto was told that her father was diagnosed with ALS. "She quietly made peace with the fact that he would never be able to walk her down the aisle at her wedding," reports Today.com. But, Augie Nieto was able to beat the odds on his daughter's wedding day, and it is beautiful!

Lindsay always had her loving father by her side growing up and Augie didn't want to change that on one of the biggest days of his daughter's life. Lindsay married Chris Williams in Rancho Palos Verdes, California and got a very special treat on that day. "Defying the average prognosis of two to five years of survival" for those with ALS, Augie was able to escort Lindsay up the aisle to the altar while harnessed to a scaffolding that helped keep him upright for the emotional ceremony.
